Bart yes the crew is lockwired at times.   It has right hand thread  it is sensitive but
it is a piece of cake to do.  Notice the locknut.
Total range about 5 turns.  You can take it all the way out and look at it----but count the
turns.

Turn yours 1/8 of a turn out.  that will reduce smoking. (and power) --.  Did you look in archives ?.

As you get used to it it is a very easy and important adjustment.

Do not remove stop collar welded on screw. And there is a washer behind Locknut.

Under hillbilly fine tuning ---the screw is sometimes moved a 1/32 of a turn. (fuzzy guys do that)
