So are you saying that going up hill and down dale [sometimes in 3rd you still managed 74mpg imp...I bet youve still got the pickles to drop back in the jar after the test ;o)...Mind you my dad gets 85mpg in his '89 Citroen ..I must improve on my 60mpg in my Quantum.
Anyone ever shimmed up a vw gearbox? I'm getting about 2" rotation on circumference when car in 5th and one drive wheel jacked up and turned.
Cant see the g/b code but trying to check 5th gear ratio...
1 turn of crank gives 5/8 or .625 of a turn on the wheel...
my Quantum coupe gives 2/3 of a wheel turn 0r .66
do I halve that value as I am going through the diff?
Whilst changing my glow plugs UCK I left the bleed pipe off from between the farthest two injectors from the drain to the pump banjo...
The isolated injector barely bled but the three coupled together spurted out of the open end.. [far more than 3 times the isolated one]
Does this mean the route to the banjo is partially blocked? Does it also mean that I may have a faulty injector? I can probably check it all tomorrow...
Economy is good and rocking of engine at idle is minimal and totally disappears as revs reach say 800rpm...
'H' try a pickle jar of pure canola to check if there is a difference.. I believe its less power but increased viscosity helps pump pressures and operating efficiency?
