[Vwdiesel] Fuel 101 part 2004 - 1.

When did I get hold of my first Diesel fuel sample ?   --- summer of 1945 .

German dieselfuel then  , during wartime ---was better than the crap we are 
getting now for  90 cents a liter.

It may have been aircraft diesel ---- I don't know for sure .    But the feel
and smell and looks  is printed in my memory.   To this day I can dip my fingers
in diesel and rub my fingers together --- and say go --no go. As far as lubricate is
concerned.

Color ?   it was a deep yellow.  ------    where does today's crap come from ? --
in Canada a lot comes from   TAR- Sands.  project.
