IMHO you do not need a degunk ------- you need a Hillbilly tuning job
----
for economy. -------- Run her super lean. ---- yes performance as far as
acceleration will be less --- but when you show the wife the benefit to
mankind
and the Sears balance ------ she will brag about it to the hens at the coffee
shop.

Hagar.

PS: Oh yes don't forget to install a brand new set of nozzles. (and thank
Loren)

No prob. Too many people try to extend the life of an injector or nozzle
and it's just not worth it.
I've found that INCREASING fueling has helped mileage. My Dasher
made a mile or two better when the turbo was simply bolted on. That's
"lean". Then I got it and made the same mileage as the PO. I turned
the pump WAY up, got some power, performance and high EGT out of it.
It was FUN!!! I gained an additional mile or two to the gallon. I've
cranked
the snot out of Dad's pu and the Jetta and can't say I've gotten an increase
in mileage but there's been no decrease. I just don't have time to be
as anal about it as I used to. ;-) Acceleration means more with the local
traffic than a mile or two/gallon lately and I don't seem to be sacrificing
that
even. :)
