Americans as a whole don't like small cars.  Haven't you noticed
that the Golf, Jetta, and Passat get bigger with every new generation?
There's a reason for it.


  But they make the same body for world distribution.  They keep saying 
how the American market share isn't enough to make much bother with 
the diesels so the gassers are supposed to drive the world design?  
Wonder what % of VW's are sold here vs. other parts?
