A frind of mine (albiet, somewhat irresponsible), told me that he would 
frequently, fairly seriously overheat his TD with no major negative affects.  He 
overheated a NA in a similar way once and warped head, blew gasket, etc...
He seemed fairly convinced that the alloy of the TD head was much more stout 
in regard to high temps.
