The hillbilly way. -- We all know that "D" in diesel stands for DIRT. --So how to
get rid. ???
That steelbrush or wirewheel ? --- caustic boil tank ? ---carbon digester bath ?.
Stoddard or Varsol dip ? steamcleaner ? ultrasonic ? let your brains do
the walking.
I use all the above and more. But two (3) procedures win out all the time.
blasting with Cob of corn (or nutshells) and TUMBLING.
Some of the crazier hippie or Billy procedures are so stupid that the really work.
How about the guy who put the cylinderhead in the dishwasher ???? genius.
Use an old washer --- man does it work.
I used an old wringer washer as a tumbler for many years "Thor" two rubber rollers just
put the drum on rollers and lets roll.(still got the thing)
Girlfriends electric toothbrush ? The mostest of all here , is a portable blaster
using nutshells at variable pressure ---up to 400 psi and a 12" blasting nozzle.
This beauty around a Rabbit is great even in engine compartment.(be careful with sand)
At 400 psi even scaly rust can be removed-..
But back to the guys in apartments and or living on the street . Blasting air ? ha steal from
a service station.I painted most of a MGA using the 5 tires for airtank. 105 psi going home
was like the MG had wooden wheels.
A Coleman sports stove and a big stainless soup pot and boil in STRONG TSP solution.
That works on the street. It really bothers me to see people , spending the night in a hole in a sand bank along the highway around Christmas in the snow . While the wife is driving us to a party where
gifts are given to people who needs nothing.A rich place like Seattle ???--shame.
To those of you who are down on your luck --- I got this to say : I WAS THERE ---do not
give op. Be absolutely frugal ---do not eat the seed potatoes. For the blotter test steal
toilet paper from a service station. It works. Survival is in.
Rambling Hagar.
PS: for Sandy Cameron --- reduction units really work if you have them. In eu when I lived
there , a lot of cleaning was done with boiling water and airpressure. And using some kind
of detergent.
They are not that expensive to buy. Trust me, you will looking for
things all over the house to clean!

Gary ---- that's exactly what happened here ---silverware---coins---gold bars---- LOL.
