Had I done injectors before meeting up with these BOSCH jobbies ?
yes  a hole pile of GM pencil injectors. And frankly I would give you
15 pencils for 4 good Bossies.

The Bosch injectors are super for back yard wizards. Piece of cake to do.
The first 4 I did  ---was like this. Assemble --torque ---test in machine ---
take apart --change shim -- assemble -- test in machine -- you got the drift.

Then suddenly  Eureka  ---assemble by hand only and judge pressure by feel
and pitch of thread.   It is possible to feel when barrel start to compress spring.
Keep turning to spring bottoms out. Take note of how far the barrel traveled in
degrees of a circle.   

Does it work ?  I will never go back to the old way.

Why does it work ???  .   --- Because the thread pitch is very accurately related
to pressure increase.--- just as any pressure regulator Handle screw is ---

Last week I did four and I could not improve the setting using the testrig. I did
not have any shims thin enough.

Notice that you may have two different types  --- BOSCH in your machine.  The
early type  ---- short spring ----  later type   --- long spring ---. If you mix parts
up  ---just give me a dingle .And I shall tell you how to identify..

So what is your excuse now kiddo ???     .
