Thanks a bunch for going to all this effort, my Rabbit loves you :)

I will look them over closely as soon as I go get a new diaphragm, which
should be Thursday... I'm getting all too used to driving w/o the vacuum
assist :)

I bet it'll turn out to be the extra travel.  I'm curious about the
blowby too, this is a 235K engine, new rings 10-15K ago, but wearing
fast, plenty of blowby.  The crankcase should be venting well enough
from the valve cover but it's definitely worth a second look.

Oh, the kit I got, can't remember the source but it's OEM, comes with
one of those non-loosening nuts.  That's what was on the original too.
If the next one doesn't come with one of those, I'll use the thread
locker fer shur.
