[Vwdiesel] A tale of two coolants or my life and times as a glycol-holic!

  I didn't notice a heating problem with it but I didn't really leave it in 
long 
enough to tell.  I'd never had a leak but when I went through the engine, 
I also did new hoses, tanked the radiator, etc.  It leaked at almost 
EVERY connection.  A day after I switched back to green, I had one 
or two minor ones was all.  A little cleaning the old stuff off of the 
mating surfaces and reinstalling those hoses fixed that.  Apparently 
it's like R 512.  It just plain doesn't carry as much heat as R 12 or 
ammonia.
