  Of course the max rpm screw (which could be interpreted as a max fuel 
screw, on top of the pump, only limits the maximum fuel.  The fuel/injection 
one raises it over the whole range BUT it's more like just raising the scale. 
 
The bottom is still there but you have to readjust the idle screw to get 
back to it.  It will only smoke at higher rpm (mostly higher throttle 
positions) because it's now capable if injecting more fuel than 
before (if you turn it up).  At lower rpm and throttle settings, the 
engine is able to speed up thusly using the extra fuel rather than 
spewing it out as smoke. 
  Make sense?  (Sometimes I don't).  ;-)
