[Vwdiesel] Fwd: SPECIFIC 505.01 5W40

That beats the VW dealer for their Castrol 505.01 oil
by about a dollar or so, figuring in the shipping
cost. I just bought some of the Castrol at the dealer
for my 04 Jetta TDI's first oil change.

Hayden, here's a tip: Get yourself a Pela 6000 oil
extractor for your oil changes. See:

The folks on Fred's TDI Forum speak so highly of them
I bought one. Sucks the used oil right out of the
dipstick tube, preventing the need to remove that
cumbersome belly cover on the TDI's to drain the oil.
It took me over an hour to remove and replace it on
Mom's 2000 TDI. The Pela cost about $50 with shipping.
The best $50 I ever spent!
