Rabbit is raring to go ---now I am sluggish.

A hillbilly tuning is needed ---  wonder what the Medicine-man at Sliammon
will charge.

On the Granite issue  ---I agree with James Hansen  that all polished granite
should be checked for flatness.     A flashlight and a good machinist level would do
the trick MHO.

The plate I use (steel)  is 2 "  thick and ground on a big machineshop surface
grinder. It is an old thread die from a bolt factory.   

For the moongazers  -- this should be meat on the plate . If you can make
that telescope ---a straight  glass plate would be nice.
