Just curious, and expect Hagar to have some words of hillbilly wisdom on the subject.

Using used engine lube as feed for a Rabbit ?--excellent Idea. (it works).
WHY ? . --- it is easy to get . And simple to process.
The lube to try to get in order of most desirable .
# 1. Aircraft piston engine lube . --- of the NIL ash type.
# 2 . Old car engine oil from paraffin crude --non diesel.
# 3. Diesel lube . non synthetic.
There are a number of WASTE oils available ---- that can be used with
little or no filtering in a Rabbit.
It is a win win situation ------first in the sump ----then in the Tank.
So the answer is ----why not ??? Mark. go for it. but make a small still
or a really good filter.
The injection pump is the most critical part ----it will not like fine silica sand
particles from the lube oil.(dust).
By the way viscosity is important for pump --(keep low) and Aviation oil is rated
differently to Car oils. 100 Av is 50 Car.
I have run my test engine on 100% 100 weight Av oil on a hot summers day.
As to the soot in diesel lube ? --will it harm the pump ? I do not know at this time.
But I am working on it.
Hagar.
PS: Lack of fuel will never stop a Hillbilly from taking his Bunny to the Beer store.
in Kentucky my friends have an airhead standing by --just in case. --If needed out comes
the moonshine.
