[Vwdiesel] Oh-Oh...First winter **** up!

I expect Loren will jump in here, but I'll offer a few
ideas.
Look at the base of the oil filter. There should be an
oil cooler there that has coolant lines going to it.
When it goes bad it will let oil get into the water,
at least in my experience. Ours always have more oil
pressure than coolant pressure at that point - I've
never seen the coolant get into the oil.
I have personally used copper T fittings in the hoses
to make up my own cause I didn't want to pay the price
for the right part, but in the future I might just
bite the bullet and get the factory hose. (Because of
all the talk about radiators and corrosion.)
Just going on your description I would expect it to be
that oil cooler and all else probably ok. At least
worth looking into before you go to the trouble of
removing the head.
Good luck! I love the diesel transporters!
