[Vwdiesel] Injector tester

I bought an off brand tester off Ebay that was brand
new for about $170. It is fairly meaty and looks like
it's fairly good quality, which was a nice surprise!
:) I didn't want to spring for a high quality one when
I don't mess with them too often and wasn't sure if
I'll need it all that much. So far I've been pretty
pleased with how it works, but I've only really played
with it to see what it's like. I still haven't pulled
off and tested any injectors from running vehicles or
rebuilt any. Just tested some old ones I had sitting
around.

I find the idea of making one from an old grease gun
really intriguing... Do you have to hold the grease
gun upside down when you're pumping it? If you can get
a hold of a gauge that will read that high for not too
much you could have a real cheap tool. With a good
quality grease gun to start with it would probably
last forever, too! I think a welding gauge would be
good, if it could handle liquids instead of gas, and I
don't see why not.

Yes, Hagar, could you tell a bit more about that one?

Thanks,
Erik
