Good news for me is that  Gavrik Peterson got this thing going ----so I am not dead
just yet.

and further the hard drive from the other machine is   OK   OK..    EH Loren ? so like
you said maybe I did not loose everything.

All I have to do now is go in to DOS and remove a modem    PITA    but I can do it.

Then I shall be back in windows ME with all emails and files (pictures) .

Thank you for the assistance guys ?    you know who you are.      And I shall be back
with   spell checker and all.   .
