I have carried a 6-cyl VW Diesel bare block and I weigh in at a mighty 
130 lbs, all in the legs.  Granted, there was no head, crank or pistons, 
but as long as you don't blow a hernia, it's amazing what you can carry 
for $40. 

A yard here that does that has rules about no straps, chains, bags, 
etc.  Otherwise I might could carry two engines out if I had a yoke.  
That yard also usually just charges $25.  That's one that charges an 
entry fee, though.
