Wow, That head looks like it was in a house fire!  I've seen cast iron
skillets at campouts that look better than that!  Glad you and your dad
got the pickup back on the road.

  Ok, I FINALLY got a picture of the head of Dad's that lost a lot of
the
metal on #1 and a bit on #2.  Nothing's cleaned up and I was in a hurry
so nothing's enhanced but you can see the damage fairly easily anyway.

Was this the head that was ceramic coated?
That's weird man, looks like a piston top in a 2 cycle engine that was
running lean at WOT and spent a lot of time there...
How far was the furnace turned up?
