[Vwdiesel] Brake SNAFU

I've never had to add any fluid. The pedal always stops at a certain point.
It just felt a little squishy. And the point where the brakes engaged was
closer to the floor than I would like. It would always get a little stiffer
if I pumped it once. And the brakes would engage a little higher.

Today the brakes seemed the same the first time I stepped on them. But
after I pumped it once, it wouldn't go down hardly at all. I had to stand
on the brakes to make them work. Luckily it happened while I was in town.
I wasn't going very fast and I wasn't too far from home.
