[Vwdiesel] re-ring done, but no start

Bart Wineland  :     NOW that you have injector out-------make sure that
PISTON  # 1 .    is TDC.     Stick a piece of wire down as a feeler.

I use an OLD GM dipstick (oil)   work like a charmer.

Flywheel TDC   mark right on and Piston TDC   right on the money.

I bet a case of beer it will run at 200 Psi  compression..     

Yes  Bart   some people do get it out of whack  # 4.  at tdc. easy mistake to make.

So put a BIG paintmark on flywheel   ----so it is easy to find.

PS:   If you find belt hard to get on ?   ---you are not doing it the easy way.
It is easy to get on.
