Studs vs bolts sure are a pain when removing the head though. Gotta
come up straight and with a NA manifold arrangement, they have to come
off first, the studs come out or the motor mounts mostly removed and
the engine rotated forward, to pull the head. Dad's being a TD just
was difficult to pull up straight.
Looks like I'll need a set of valves for it. Intakes may be warped, I'll
find out tomorrow probably but all are too short since I'd set them up
for the old, seats ground, head. I somehow screwed up and had most
of them set for 4.10mm shims instead of 3.70mm. <shrug> Anybody
need a good deal on some TD exhaust valves? Still good, just don't
want to start with 4.40mm shims, if they come that thick.
