The best airtanks ? (FREE)   are propane tanks.


  Naaah, if you happen to be where an old, refirgerated building has been 
dis-refrigerated...  Those have some NICE tanks!!!  Slop tanks are a little 
under 2' in diameter and 6 to 8 feet long, nice steel.  A little heavier than 

most propane tanks but not as tubby.  Fit nicely under an eve along the 
shop.  :-)  Put an old refigerator compressor to it for a few days and 
charge that up to a couple hundred psi and have air for a lot of tool 
running!  :-)
  Picked up one of those tanks for Dad's garage and passed up another.  :-(
