[Vwdiesel] A2 parts find.

I found an '89 Diesel Jetta at the breaking yard yesterday near Dallas.  
I needed some parts that I'd messed up trying to finish up some stuff 
too late at night.  Picked up an alternator for a spare and will 
probably go back next week for some other bits and pieces.  I will have 
to look and see how much trouble it is to get the A/C evaporator out.  
Easy job?

I'd like to try and get to the steering rack, too, but that's a litter 
tougher removal, if I calculate correctly.  Anyone pulled one of those 
before? 

If anyone needs some fairly accessible parts, let me know and I'll see 
what I can do while I'm there.  I probably won't be in a position to 
pull or ship trannies or blocks, but if there's that little something 
you need....  I figure the engine must have died because the car isn't 
wrecked, but you just never know.  If you're local, it's at Awesome Auto 
Salvage in Grand Prairie. 

Weird thing is that it has the boost aneroid, but doesn't show signs of 
having a turbo.  I wasn't wearing proper work clothes, so I didn't get a 
good look, but I thought all of the US Jettas in that year were Eco 
Diesels and therefore turbos.  Anyhow.
