This is by far the most important issue on Rabbits from 1977 to 1984.

Why ?  ----     do I really have to explain ?     ---well what is better than telling
you that I had a 1982 Rabbit 1.6 L NA  with a crapped out leaking pump 
and the stealership Capilano Volks Wagen  quoted me 5000 dollars Canadian for a
replacement pump.  YES 5000 not 500 .

The LORD or Magic guided my hand on this keyboard and BINGO I flopped in here.

Since I was told by EXPERTS ?  that a 1.5 pump would not fit (I had one on the bench)
being a type that like a second opinion ? (right?)   take all info with a piece of
SODIUM    ---pun intended.    I asked here  :  CAN a 1.5L pump run a 1.6L engine ?.

I received an Email from Gary Orlando    Gary Bangs  ---within 20 minutes he said YES.

Why is 20 minutes so important ?   ---the weather  --to change pump OUTSIDE that was the 
only day of sunshine for a long time.   It took me maybe  1 hour to change pump and
BINGO  it worked like stink. (my 16th thanks to Gary)

Thats right -- I could NOT even spell BOSCH right..

So when you suspect pump troubles ?   ask the PUMP GANG right here  --and you will pass the smoke test
and you will get super mileage and you will grin driving by the Stealership. -READ MY LIPS:

How many pumps do I have here ?  more than 20  ---ask Gavrik Peterson  he was here ---and let me tell you
he is NO retard when it comes to VE pumps. He is part of the pump gang.

On taming a Rabbit what is more interesting than mastering the VE pump ?   nuff said.

I have a lot of FUN working on Rabbits --brakes or whatever  ---but the PUMP ?   I am
like a figure skater ---it is RAPTURE.    Do that triple loop ?  WOW.

That VE BOSCH pump is a masterpiece like a Rolex Oyster   -----  It is a miracle that it even works.

Will an Oyster work with bad lubrication ?   ---a VE  pump will not.   That is why we test the pressure.

When the Oil companies fooled around with fuel --that was the start of smoking Rabbits.
