I was surprised to hear from Loren that shoving
something in the end of the hose actually worked
better, but I think I'll stick with the little caps.


  No-no-no.  There was another FACTORY or aftermarket plug that 
was a piece of the hose with a plug in it.  THAT is what I was talking 
about.  I've never had my made-in-a-pinch plugged ones work well 
at all.  The only reason I've had any fail was either in trying to pull 
them off and they tear in half, or leave it on and remove the injector
with a socket.  If it's an older cap then pushing the socket on and 
pulling it off usually tears a pinhole in it.
