Chim chimeny, chim chimeny, chim chim cher-ee... Gee, never thought
of you looking much like Dick Van Dyke before now! ;-D I can just see you
two hopping around (from a dropped tool on the toe) son tagging along... LOL

Seat of the pants guess. Is it the cat in general or was it THAT plugged
up that a clear one wouldn't be such an obstruction?

Kinda cool around town, can get annoying on the highway, on a long
trip though. Depends on just how loud it is. Just the faint whine sounds
nice. Downpipe fell off of Dad's pu earlier this summer and I had to limp
it to the muffler shop. Sounded JUST like a big truck with the turbo
whine! :) Only problem the turbo was dumping right out on the fuel
filter, lines, glow plug wiring, master cylinder and so on. Kept it at
a limp. Still sounded just like a big truck taking off from the lights. :)

Wouldn't be the same problem I ended up finding on Dad's would
it? The hose from the ECU comes out the firewall/cowl over to the
driver's side does a 90 down then a 180 up into a solenoid valve.
The hose was kinking at the 180. Caused the warp field collapse
on hills.

That's why I've always said 2 1/2" exhaust on these little 1.6 diesels!
Most think I'm crazy especially when they've just finished bragging
about the 3" pipe they just put on their 5.9 or 7.3! They insist a 2.5 is
WAY too big for such a little engine. Those of us that have done it,
know it isn't. Works out to about 5" for those big pickups!
I'm honestly wondering if we couldn't get by with about a 2" tailpipe,
and 2.5 exhaust if we had a 3" or 4" expansion chamber a couple feet
long, or larger in dia even. :) Heck, look at the size of the expansion
chambers on a 2 cycle dirt bike!
