[Vwdiesel] Eps device, turbos & exhaust

My car was going a bit "flat". I tried removing and spraying the guts
of the MAF with some brake cleaner. It seemed to make a difference....
Nothing scientific, just a thought.
Could oil fumes from the crankcase vent reach the MAF and foul it?
