Bart I understood...Sometimes in the rush to help people
don't always read the question (me included)
IIRC you were loathe to use blow torches or the like;  which
is why I thought the paint stripper would give some
expansion.
Perhaps you could throw together a homemade slide hammer to
pull on the sprocket  or even attached to the puller..
