[Vwdiesel] TDI intake cleaning

I really don't have much use for carb cleaner. I use parts washers
combined with occasional lye/water mixes or tsp to clean parts.
I only needed the carb cleaner because I can't get to the surfaces
inside the intake
that need cleaning.

I'm tentatively thinking of coming up with a witches brew of chemicals
from Lowe's.
Naptha, maybe some acetone, and diesel fuel.

A short check got it down to the mid-20's range, but still that's a
lotta
moolah for a one-time use chemical.

One time use? I'm on the third can in my lifetime and the first two
were either well used or half gone when I got them. I figure that last
one I bought has me set for life. Of course I mostly use it for carbs
or making O-rings grow. You wouldn't have to use it, nor contaminate
it all on your intake.
