[Vwdiesel] Some Bon Ami Dope

Scotchbrite IS an abrasive. I use it to prep paint, like to take the shiny
off before a respray, comes in different grits/colors.  NEVER use it on
glass, chrome trim, "chrome" plastic, or anything you don't want metal or
product removed. Treat like sandpaper.
You wnat clean glass, you need to find some liquid windsheild cleaner with
cerium oxide in it, looks like milk, and about the same viscosity. Rub on in
swirl motion with soft cloth, let dry, polish. I forget the name of the
stuff, it works well, but I ran out, and can't order more 'cause I forget
the name... One jug lasts forever, well, long enough to wear the label off,
and forget the name...

Darn right. I was scrubbing a particularly stubborn patch of bug guts on the
windshield last year, smart ass says, use the "scotch brite" scrubber, now
have a permanent fuzzy spot on the windshield.  (wonder if it might polish
out with Bon-Ami?)

I guess there's abrasive imbedded in the plastic.

I use this stuff to brighten the ends of solid copper coaxial line for
transmitter sites (imagine coax made of 3" solid copper, like drain pipe,
with an internal 1" pipe suspended by teflon discs, good for 50 kW of rf
power) High conductivity at the joints is important.
