Two extra sources t oDoyt's:

Where the floor trim is held down by the press on edging
around the door opening there is an excess of material
touching the door sills and sucking the water up (and down)
by capilliary action.
Also where the wheel arch steel meets the firewall at the
drain point where the window water (windscreen)  drains the
edges of three sheets are spotwelded togeather and leak
(often masticated) into the footwell The drain is about a 1"
hole
