Gee, I've never had these kinds of problems.
Maybe I'm just paranoid careful.
I pressure wash the area around the speedo plug before even going near it,
to remove the sand and gravel that collects there. It's a natural shelf for
junk.
I agree the rubber seal is a piece of ****, I just picked up a fresh one
yesterday, along with a CV boot for my "project" diesel Carat conversion.
The CV boots are now made of some kind of hard plastic.
How long can that last???
What will our arctic winters do to them?
