Chapter 2:  The transmission was filled with 2.2 quarts of synthetic GL 4 Lubricant and taken for a test drive on the interstate.  Some vibration around 55 mph and then cleared up.  Took it up to 70 mph and it would vibrate while accelerating but settled down at while driving at a constant speed.  On all gradual left turns, it vibrates badly until the road straightens out.  Looks like I might have survived a "dumb a__" mistake.  The fluid had leaked out into the cv boot from a seal failure.
