I suppose we could source a large surface plate, drill down to bedrock,
set some anchors, pour some pilings and set it on a severl feet thick
slab of concrete, get it certified and have it inspected annually. OR
we could fill via either the speedo hole or jack a wheel and through
the filler hole with a measured amount of fluid. Of course if we want
to be picky we'd have to heat up the transmission and go through a
sequencs of rotations and turning gears, to make sure we get
EVERY drop out of it in the first place. We could always remove
the transmission disassemble it, clean ALL oil from it, get a tare/net
weight for it and then each time it's drained, remove and weigh it to
determine how much oil is left in it.

'77 through '84 Bentley, section 1 page 12 says : "It requires
1.25 liters (2.6 U.S. pints, 2.2 Imperial pints) of hypoind oi to fill
the transaxle with manual transmission. It requires .75liters
(25 U.S. oz., 1.3 Imperial pints) of hypoid oil to fill the final drive
of the transaxle with automatic transmission."

BUT!!! section 8 page 88 says: "Oil required to fill transaxle to
correct level (four speed). 1.5 liters (1.6 U.S. quarts or 1.3 Imperial
quarts.)
Under 5 speed section it says 2.0 liters (2.1 U.S. quarts or 1.8 Imperial
quarts.)

85 to 89 Bentley says same quantities except specs .8l (.8 U.S. qts)
for auto final drive but GL-5 rather than GL-4 like for the trannies. No
spec for 4 speeds, refil for auto trans of 3.0L and dri fill of 6.1L

Interestingly I can't find a manual tranny oil capacity anywhere in the
85 only Bentley, which is generally more thorough than the other. It
even lists how much refrigerant oil is in each A/C component!
I would NOT follow the amount given in the Lube and maintenance
area (section 1 page 12).
