VW   handed us a super troubleshooting tool --  on a silver platter.

If you tell us what that knob does ---I can diagnose your pump condition 
with my eyes closed.

Use a fish scale --- and measure pull     as follows.     Engine off   and idling .

Sample ?  "Bunny Bondo"       OFF  ---20 lbs    ---engine idling    2 pounds.

Remember the pumps wear gradually -------   like tires and GEEZERS.

If you are right up there on diesels ?   ---this has to do with overcoming
injection and ignition LAG.

Hillbilly Tuning compensates for worn injectors and pumps and shitty low cetane
fuel.

My American friends ---you are now getting shitty Syncrude  dieselfuel from Canada.
By the thousands of tons. ---------and as long as price is --what it is ,  it will flood the market.

Made from TAR.    ---Low cetane low viscosity  ---little or no parraffin. ------in other words
make sure you add lots of lube for your pump and injectors.

PS : If pulling knob makes NO difference when idling ?  ---you likely have a
GOOD pump.
