I was under the impression from the diagram and writeup that
they were
increasing the incoming air pressure by heating it with
waste exhaust heat,
hence the heat exchanger. What I was getting at, you would
need to heat the
air in chunks, so it could be introduced, heated, expelled,
etc etc,kind of
like a piston engine does. The diagram makes little sense
really.

But does preheating the air give a benefit over crammed in
cooler air?
Maybe it increases efficiency; with less work done to
pressurise the air. Doesn't maximise power though?
