[Vwdiesel] AC Removal

I think the engineering (or lack of) when it comes to that part of the VW
totally beyond my comprehension.  I have had to build custom tools to get
that bracket off even with the engine OUT of the car.  Then I modified the
bracket so that normal tools could be used to put it back on and off.  You
can use a oxy-acetylene torch to remove the A/C pump pulley, and anything
else in there that defies normal wisdom in its bass ackwards conception as
far as I am concerned.

I cannot remember if I had to remove the crank pulleys and the upper and
lower timimg belt cover to expose the bracket bolt you speak of.  All I
remember is a nighmare of a job to remove this bracket and the water pump.
