[Vwdiesel] VDO gauge adapters

I have never seen a tapered metric thread.  I have been able to get the m10 
male- 1/8NPT female.  I have then used a 1/8npt tee.  I put the metric adapter 
on the male of the tee, and thread it into the head.  The steel metric threads 
of the stock vw sender will seal into 1/8 NPT brass (and I've never cared 
about distorting the threads of a sender), and most aftermarket gauge senders are 
the 1/8NPT for a good match on the last hole.
