[Vwdiesel] Fuel filters, spec's, lifespan.

Sandy,

(I shared this with the list for probable wider interest)

On my 1.5 NA genset I probably went overkill (in filtering that is probably
underkill from the engine perspective, running no filter would be overkill).
I have two separate tanks, two separate fuel circuits. They both have the
water trap 10 micron goldenrod followed by a big 2 micron Fleet Cat filter.
In the used oil supply there is also a engine coolant powered heater/water
separator prior to the filters.

I would imagine that the gravity fed flow of room temp veggie oil through a
goldenrod 10 micon filter would be on par with molasses in January. A
little heat would help a lot. Large diameter lines are also necessary I
discovered.

Rob
