[Vwdiesel] down pipe

Just was wondering if it would hurt anything if I drive my car down the
highway with nothing but the newly installed  custom 2.5 inch down pipe on
the turbo. It will go down behind the engine and up over the rack and about
4 inches past the steering rack. Would this be a problem?  I already ran it
and the noise is not bad at all, great throttle response as well as my boost
gage snaps up to 12psi now and I do mean snaps up there.  The distance I
have to run is 20 miles on a four lane road to the muffler shop.
