Forget propane fumigation, your setup will use driver and passenger
flatulance to advantage! ;)  I don't know how you can live with the intake
noise in the cabin though (and I'm not talking about farts) and the negative
pressure with the windows closed.

Putting the air filter in a housing helps keep it cleaner from the kind of
dust and fuzz that can fall on it when the engine is not running.
