David, I use bicycle boxes for shipping odd bits such as doors, door
cards, fuel tanks, you name it. Use a utility knife and a straight edge
for a neat job of box modification. The bumper could be boxed in the
same fashion. Glass will require EXTRA cardboard to ensure it doesn't
get "bent".

Subject: [Vwdiesel] OT: Shipping windows and a bumper
Hey all, I've got some windows and an old Rabbit
bumper I'm gonna put up on ebay...
Just curious what the best way to ship it would be?
Including packaging, especially the windows.
I'm thinking the bumper can just have the label
slapped directly to it. I might cover the ends with
cardboard, but I really only think that is all it
needs.
For the windows, all I can come up with without making
the package super heavy would be several layers of
cardboard marked FRAGILE and insurance required.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
David
