[Vwdiesel] Fw: OT: Shipping windows and a bumper

I work for UPS and as you would expect, do not find your comments amusing.
However, your comments are correct if you fail to take the time and care
to
properly pack what you ship. If you ship glass, it is at your own risk.
If
you are going to ship flat glass through a courier system (no matter who
carries it, Mutilator and FedWrecks included), you place those items in
grave danger of damage. A better idea may be to ship it LTL on a pallet,
but even that has its risks, if the glass is not in a rack. If you have to
ship glass by courier, pack each piece in a separate box within a box,
surrounded by copious amounts of styrofoam peanuts. Make sure the box is
large enough to prevent the item inside from coming anywhere near the edges
of the outer packaging. That is were most damage occurs. Check UPS' web
site at www.ups.ca for packaging advice.
