[Vwdiesel] OT: Shipping windows and a bumper

For shipping glass by courier, make a box out of plywood. Gently suspend
the window with string, and fill the box with spray in expandable foam.
Concrete and a steel box would be better, but a tad heavy to ship. Might
want to put the window in a bag first too :-) as the foam is pretty sticky.
Oh, screw the plywood together, so it's easier to disassemble, and line the
big pieces of plywood with plastic as well so it comes apart. Packing the
bumper in popcorn should do, but never underestimate the creativity of the
transportation industry.... they damaged a granite surface plate on the
first try, and it was palleted with a bunch of other stuff. Maybe it was
tank they parked on top of my pallet of stuff....

For the windows, try making a scrapwood internal frame for the box that will
prevent the box from being crushed or bent.

It worked for me in the past.
