I ship a lot of stuff and use UPS for some of that. I'm just dealing now with an insurance claim and it is a big pain. Since I
am the shipper, I have to do all the work for the claim. If I ever see the money, I do plan to refund some/all of it to the
buyer. However, I am out many hours of my time gathering the information, dealing with the buyer, filling out UPS forms,
responding to e-mails, etc. Why UPS can't have the receiver do that is beyond me. They would be the one with the vested
interest in pushing the claim, for me as the shipper, it is just a waste of my time.
