[Vwdiesel] Honda 2.2L diesel Mileage

If you have ever seen a schematic of the V10 TDI or the engine in the
Phaeton, you would notice and absence of belts. Almost everything on the
engine is drive off of gears and shafts from the tranny side of the engine.
What looks like a sandwich is made with the engine on one side, the tranny
on the other and this drive mechanism between. I can't help but believe
that it would be quieter than a chain but all those gears engaging seems to
me would produce more noise and vibration than a belt. Hayden
