If you lean a turbo diesel significantly you will merely increase pumping losses and
decrease fuel economy. You'll also destroy any performance.
Andrew
Just before going on vacation --LOREN mentioned the importance of going back to
SICS. ---I happen to agree with him---- and I think your observation is of such
importance that it should be debated in this forum.
I just love debating things --that is how I learn ---yeah my nose does bleed at
times -Ja ? --but --CUT and RUN ? is not on my Radar.
Example : Val Christian and I have debated the issue --does a diesel slow down a
Rabbit when you take your foot off the pedal ?----simple ? you say. Not so fast --- it is
so complex that we are still debating years later.------------ of course the answer is Yes
and NO .---- are we still friends ? absolutely. Read every thread Val Christian ever
wrote and you may learn a few things ( I did --and saved a lot of money).
Andrew please explain "Pumping Losses" ---- You totally lost me there.---BUT it sounds
interesting to me. ------------ TIA.
Svend.
