As promised here is the information gained.

Flow through pump ? ---- 625 mL  every 90 seconds.     Very important
info for a simple test of fuel system.

Loren here is the info on heating of fuel.    7 kms at 50 km/h    120 degrees F.

My gut feeling is that if that pump was not COOLED by fuel as Bosch
claims.        It would be one blistering hot pump in no time. 

What exactly heats up the fuel ?  -- is it the flyweights whipping the oil ? as I
suspect --or is the high pressure piston leak-by as a senior member suggests ?.

Cooling flow about 25 liters per hour.

PS:  Mileage ?  better than 59 miles per gallon Imp.
