Why the flow test first ? ----that is to prevent a situation -----where you have a fuel
supply problem screwing up the TUNING stuff to follow.
There is a GREAT amerikan song ---saying NEW YORK ---new York --if you can make there ?
you can make it anywhere.----Here is Svends version .: if you can start a Rabbit in
James Hansen land --? you can start it anywhere. (Amen)
All you have to do is put the return line in a bottle ---then measure the flow by using
a clock ----I used the clock on the dash. This is really not newbie stuffing ----BUT
if you run in to PO problems ----make sure it say " OUT " on outlet banjo bolt.
The flow though the orifice is a direct indication of Pump pressure.. The orifice is to
be found in " OUT " banjo bolt .----it is protected by a sintered bronze filter. If you
post the flow here ? we can help you ,what to do next.
If flow is low ? do not panic . There are a lot more things to do ----before sending the
pump ---to BOSCH.
Got it ? if you have flow number ---then we can help.
Svend.
PS : orifice ? that is a very small hole.---it is calibrated --so DO NOT
HANGE ----that is for experts----some day you may.
